Renaissance Architecture

Here is the last topic of the Renaissance, Architecture! Using math and science to build better and stronger structures to live, or for religious prayers. In the Renaissance, the two most popular buildings (churches) are Gothic and Romanesque. Well here are to define the two different churches.

Gothic churches are usually filled with bright glasses called mosaic, art made from different pieces of glass, unlike Romanesque churches, where little light can reach in the building. Romanesque churches have round points and Gothic have round points on the tip of the building. To hold the church, Gothic uses many supports on that connects to the side of the building and down, called buttresses. Romanesque churches uses supports that are connected to the church itself, this is why the church doesn't have a lot of windows, like the Gothic churches. Well both churches were made in areas of the Renaissance, and most are tourists attractions, listed below.

Gothic Churches: Florence Cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral, Seville Cathedral.

Romanesque Churches: Pisa Cathedral, St. Stephen's Cathedral, Bamberg Cathedral.
