My Adventure to Las Vegas March 2015

My Amazing trip to Las Vegas, Nevada and Grand Canyon, Arizona

On 3/22/2015 to 3/24/2015 we went to Grand Canyon with a tour called Seagull Holiday (it is a Chinese Tour). We were picked up at a hotel in Rosemead at 7:00 AM. We went on the Interstate 10 Freeway and then switched to Interstate 15 Freeway (see Figure 1), and we were there at Las Vegas at about 5:00 PM. Boy, the trip was boring, you can only look outside, or eat. On the way we took a break where we use the restroom and stuff. On the way I saw a sand storm, it was so cool! The sand were like just staying there, and it was mixing (it was because we're very far from it) above an area of sand. We rented a hotel called Circus Circus (rated 3.4 stars). Our room number was 18703 (see figure 2). We can see the Stratosphere hotel, the parking lot, and the busy lane with cars coming to Las Vegas. The sight was very beautiful as Las Vegas has all these beautifully designed hotels and casinos (see figures 3 and 4).

At the night the tour would take the customers to interesting places in Las Vegas, but I decided not to (plus it could be boring). We went to explore the hotel, (partially was because we got "Free Play" tickets that the driver gave to everyone in the tour) except the casino, and we saw many roller coaster rides in the AdventureDome. We went to play some games and we didn't won anything. We went to sleep very early because the next day at 4:30 AM, we had to get on the bus, ready to go to Grand Canyon. I was still very sleepy when I woke up, and the road was so bumpy, that I couldn't even sleep on the bus. Around 6:00 AM I was full of energy because I was watching the sun coming up, and the dry mountains passing by (see figure 5). On the way to Grand Canyon, the tour guide told us that the price for each person was $7.00. Once we heard about the pay, we paid $21.00 for our family. The speed limit on the freeway to Grand Canyon was 70 MPH. The freeway was actually very empty, not like Los Angeles, where the freeways are all jammed. No day in Los Angeles the freeway could be this empty.

Mid way of the trip, we arrived at this area in Arizona, where we rested and used the restroom and eat (see figure 6). After thirty minutes, we left, and about three hours later we arrived, and it was about 11:00 AM. The sight was so beautiful, mountains everywhere, cool weather, and the peace and quiet (see figures 7-8). We saw a squirrel on the rocky sides of the Canyon (I ran out of battery to picture other things). We returned very late (because it takes about 11 hours to get to Grand Canyon), and the driver gave us some of the "Free Play" tickets and so I won a red 9 inch lobster plush, that was made in September 20, 2014 (I still have it). The next day we were going home. Before we went to sleep, we went to watch a performance which a magician shows off his magic, and after that we went to sleep.

Next day we woke up at 8:00 AM and we got on the bus, and half an hour later, we were leaving, and the driver let us go to a buffet, M&M factory, and a Chocolate Factory (these two locations are still in Las Vegas). We got samples from both factories (see figure 9). After that we went back to Rosemead, where we were picked up, and we drove home, in our old Toyota Corolla. The trip was fascinating but, I hope we could just at least stay there for another day, because I want to explore the whole city of fabulous Las Vegas. I didn't even have time to see Treasure Island Hotel, Bellagio Water Show, Stratosphere Hotel, New York New York Hotel, and many other famous landmarks in Las Vegas.

Hope you like this trip that I had took! Maybe you should do what I did, if you are planning to go to the Grand Canyon, because it could be tiring if you were the driver and to drive your family, and not with a paid tour. Also the tour is very safe, gives you break, and gives you "Free Play" tickets for you to play in Circus Circus. Also comment to me if you recommend this idea of adventuring. Thanks for taking your time reading this post!
