Nitrotype

                                                                What is Nitrotype?

Nitrotype.com is not really a game, but it is a place where you type (race) against others as shown on Figure 1. You can create an account for free, race with friends, get titles, earn Nitrotype cash (virtual cash), buy Gold (for real money), receive achievements, and get many more other things.

  You can also have your own team. There are some requirements for making a team. You can disband your own team, but you won't get any money back. A new update from the Nitrotype requires the Team captain to race at least once every 4 months, or else your team will be disbanded (my team fell victim to the new rule). You can also have officers for the team, they are the ones that can help you get more people into the team and can update the MotD (Message of the Day), which can be updated every hour. Well of course, you can also do these actions yourself, and you can also set the requirements for the team (only for the speed and the WPM). If the player that you or your officers invited (ie, your friends), but don't meet the requirements, that's OK, they can just accept the invite, and they'll be in the team.

  There is also something called LEADERBOARD. The LEADERBOARD shows the place of players and teams. They show them by points, speed, and the records that they break. How to get points, though? That is easy, points are counted, by the place you're in, speed, and the speed you type. If you make to the first, second. or third, in the LEADERBOARD behind your name there will be a gold ribbon, saying "top third". 

  Friends, you can have lots of friends, but you can also block invites, too. You can race with them, send them cash, and receive cash from them. Racing with friends can get you extra cash per race; as well as your place, your accuracy, and if there is an event, the car you used. 

  In the game, there are lots of achievements. Some achievements give you money, others give you cars, some stickers, or titles. There are a few that do not change, but there are also seasonal Events, which comes with extra achievements. 

  In the game, you may sometimes race against bots. These bots are typically there to fit you in when the game can't find any suitable players, and these bots are set to go around your speed. Unlike real players, they don't use Nitros, which you can only use once per race. There's also one bot you have to look out for, and that's "The Wampus" (see Figure 2). The Wampus always pops out together with the fourth racer, and drives a car with a flattened wampus (which is a cat, btw) with a flaming exhaust. If you beat him, you get a bonus of $50,000 Nitrotype cash (see Figure 3). If you beat him the first, fifth, or tenth time, you'll also get achievements. So, all eyes out for The Wampus, and remember, if you meet him, BEAT him!

  You can give people an URL, which helps them sign up, in which if they do, Nitrotype will send both people Nitrotype cash! Mine is: https://www.nitrotype.com/join/1520102. Let's say somebody used this URL and signed up, they'll get $50,000 Nitrotype cash, and when they race twenty times, I will get $50,000 Nitrotype cash. It's win-win for both people!

   Around the year, Nitrotype hosts many special events, in which you get new cars, titles, more cash, and stickers. The most popular events are the Summer and the Winter Event. You can see when those two Events are coming in the News page. The News section announces events that are happening as well as other stories that are related to the game, which can be very useful, especially the time when there was a bug, and I happened to be one of the victims (see Figure 4). Well they got that fix already (this was pre-2020), so no worries about that.
