The Renaissance

The Helicopter in Leonardo's Notebook.

A similar version of today's helicopter, is
recorded in Leonardo's invention notebook.

The Renaissance--a time of great artworks, and thinkings. Yet that's where the famous thinker, mathematician, scientist, inventor, writer, and artist came from,  LEONARDO DA VINCI!!! Yet not  surprising, the Renaissance came to Italy first. Why there,---well Italy was a major trade city, and so many other civilization's ideas, would reach them first. Also in Italy, there are still a lot of remains of the Ancient Romans and Greeks artifacts, like Roman Statues, Roads, Architecture, Bridges, and Greek Poetry, and Literature, and people started to have interest in these things, thus creating the Renaissance.

The Renaissance started 1300 AD, as mentioned before in Italy. It was believed that the Renaissance started in Tuscon, a city in Florence--a city state in Italy. Remember, Italy at the time was not a whole country, but rather the country was made up of several city-states. City-States includes Venice, Milan, Papal States, Florence, Naples, Genoa, and several more. The Renaissance brought many art, architecture, inventions, math, science, and literature, life was as bright as the time of Ancient Rome. From Italy the Renaissance, it reached north and into all of Europe. Soon we got Northern Renaissance, where the Renaissance had reached Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg, where more types of art was established. Literature played a great role because of Greek writing. We've got many famous writers in that time including William Shakespeare, Cervantes, and Leonardo da Vinci!! In Great Britain, William Shakespeare, wrote tragedies and plays for the British people.

The Renaissance had made life a lot easier, yet, the Reformation, tried to end humanism, but then you got counter-reformation, and all those stuff...

But anyways, since the Renaissance is such a great and large topic, there will different posts that will be published (so that each post not a "light year" long).
